Get off the beaten path, away from the crowds and cycle part of the world-famous Otago Central Rail Trail and Roxborough Gorge. This extraordinary adventure is often combined with the Clutha Gold and or Otago Central Rail Trails that connect at each end. The trail follows the mighty Clutha Mata-au River via the River Trail through the Roxburgh Gorge, a strange landscape of towering bluffs, old schist huts, interesting flora, and finishing at the Lake Roxburgh Hydro Dam. You will finish off with an exhilarating boat trip back to Clyde.
