Alsace Wine Road cycle trail from Strasbourg to Colmar

On this cycle tour you discover the Alsace region very at your own pace. You start your bike tour in Strasbourg, a dynamic city listed on as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The historic downtown is perfect for cycling. Do not miss the Notre Dame cathedral, the covered bridges and the picturesque medieval quarter "Petite France". Then follow the Bruche Canal, which leads to the Alsatian vineyards. You meander through the vineyards on the Alsace wine road cycle trail and pass charming villages with half-timbered houses, adorned with geraniums. On your way you will pass through the beautiful small towns Rosheim, Obernai, Barr and Bergheim. Overlooking the bike paths, you can admire the proud castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg on its rocky outcrop.

Ride further to the most beautiful Alsatian mountain villages, Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr and Hunawihr before reaching Colmar, also called "the little Venice" , a city rich of architectural heritage.
