Lazypedals
Valencia bike tours
A young company dedicated to bicycle tourism, Lazypedals provides enjoyable, comfortable and safe cycling holidays, ensuring that you have a great, fun and different experience. The idea of starting the Lazypedals venture came from their passion for bicycle trips and all of the pleasing aspects they facilitate the traveller: discovering new places and customs, delving into new cultures, savouring wholesome new cuisine and social interaction with the locals you meet along the way. The advantage of a bicycle trip is that you get into the humanised rhythm and pace of people themselves, integrating into what’s happening around you and in unison with the landscape, close to nature. They have experienced all these sensations on the trips they have made throughout Valencia.
They organize bicycle tours that include accommodation of course. Their bicycles are totally equipped and they take care of the transport of your luggage. All of the tours have been carefully designed and tested by them. They have selected itineraries best-suited to a congenial cycling experience and that take in interesting, scenic or unusual places to visit.

There is a diversity of settings, experiences, towns, villages and landscapes.
In this region there is a great diversity of settings, history, experiences, towns, villages, hamlets and landscapes to be encountered. This diversity is what you’ll experience on a route which weaves together the rugged, mountainous terrain of the interior with that of the contrasting Mediterranean coastal plain.
A considerable part of this route takes in the famous and tranquil, green pathway that winds its way to the sea. You’ll pedal your way past fields, groves of fruit trees, vineyards and natural enclaves of exceptional beauty. In the first part of the route you’ll discover small villages of mediaeval and Arab origin because ownership of this territory was in dispute by warring Christian monarchs and Islamic caliphs for many years.
After visiting the historic city of Alcoi, a track that goes through a magnificent gorge will take you to the coast where you’ll come across a totally different landscape which includes citrus plantations and marshlands, not to mention exceptional views out to sea. You enter the lush plain of orange groves and market gardens known as la huerta valenciana. You pedal alongside the River Xúquer and make your way to the natural reserve known as the Parque Natural de la Albufera, which is of enormous ecological value. You finish your ever-changing journey in the city of Valencia and explore the impressive old quarter with its cathedral and central market – indeed, a cathedral of a market! Not to be missed are the narrow streets and squares that offer so many kinds of cafés, bars and restaurants. Lovers of good food will be delighted with what’s on offer there.
