Transferring from Nairobi into the Chyulu Hills and taking a short ride to our first camp provides a magical mountain biking introduction to East Africa. From an elevation of around 1800 metres, we can look across to Kilimanjaro, the 'Roof of Africa', before setting off to circle the mountain in an anticlockwise direction. Dropping 1000 metres to the Masai Plains, we follow red-dirt roads, fringed with termite mounds, to the market village of Loitokitok. All the while looking out for the savannah animals which in these parts mingle with the Masai cattle herds. We then cross into Tanzania, with views of Mount Meru and skirt the south side of Kilimanjaro on trails that lead through rainforest and banana plantations and by way of several villages of the Chagga people. Two final days of riding take us to the camp beside Lake Challa and then northwards into Kenya again, our circuit completed. An African bike trip for the adventurous!

Born out of the Khmer Empire, which dominated much of the region 1000 years ago, the Kingdom of Cambodia is one of the most exciting of South-East Asian destinations. This leisurely cycle tour is simply the best way to explore the highlights of a country whose chief means of transport often seems to be the bike. Starting out in Siem Reap, we are provided with our bikes and set off to explore on backroads and village trails amongst the breathtaking temples of Angkor Wat. We also seek out less well-known temples and sacred sites, such as Kbal Spean, hidden in the forest. A boat trip on the great waterway of Tonle Sap then takes us to Battambang, set in a landscape of rice fields, palm trees and pretty riverside villages.

South of the capital, Bangkok, Thailand extends for hundreds of kilometres along the Thai-Malay Peninsula, with the Gulf of Thailand to the east and the Andaman Sea to the west. Entirely within the tropics, this is a fantastically scenic part of the world, with a mix of coastal and limestone mountain landscapes. Covering a total distance of 850 kilometres and crossing from the east side to the west side of the peninsula, this classic road tour traverses traditional rural areas, with many quaint little villages, colourful Buddhist temples and several attractive national park areas. Each night, we stop off in laid back coastal resorts, where we can walk on the endless beaches and try the delicious local seafood. Well away from the main tourist areas, the road is quiet and well maintained and is generally flat and fast with some undulating hills thrown into the mix. This is your chance to get to know the locals, wiggle your toes in Thailand's warm sand and absorb a slower pace of life. With our final stop off at the paradise island of Phuket, there is nothing to prevent you extending your holiday to spend a few extra days in the sun.

The classic bike ride across Bhutan is one of the world's most challenging cycle holidays. At the eastern end of the Himalaya, sandwiched between India and Tibet, the 'Shangri La' kingdom of Bhutan is renowned for its colourful Buddhist culture and for the beauty of its unspoiled mountain scenery. A single spectacular road runs west to east across the country, traversing a succession of steep-sided and heavily wooded ridges. Presenting long climbs on easy-angled switchbacks, as well as mind-blowing descents that seem to last for hours, this largely deserted single-track highway provides the basis for one of the worlds' great bike journeys. Starting out from Paro and crossing several high passes, we accumulate a total of 15,500 metres of ascent and a staggering 18,200 metres of descent, en route to the eastern land border with India at Sandrup Jongkhar. Staying primarily in characterful lodges and with plenty of opportunity to meet the Bhutanese people, this is an unmissable adventure biking holiday

The Haute Route is one of the most famous routes in the Alps and our this exciting mountain biking holiday follows a variation of the 'walkers high level route' between the two great Alpine towns of Chamonix and Zermatt. We begin our mountain bike journey in the French Alpine town of Chamonix, which lies in the shadow of the highest mountain in Western Europe, Mont Blanc. We ride for 6 days to Zermatt in Switzerland, using cable cars where we can, across mountain passes and following trails which have been used for centuries to link the valleys which lie below. En route, we will have challenging climbs, superb views and sample some of the best singletrack in the Alps. The final day of riding above Zermatt is a fitting climax and makes use of the Gornergrat train to reach 3016 metres, high above the town and directly opposite the iconic peak of the Matterhorn. This cycling holiday offers a week of stunning views of snow capped peaks and glaciers, with great technical riding both up and down!
