What could be more Italian than Gelato?! This ride features everything you could dream of: beautiful Tuscan countryside, dotted with olive trees and vineyards, a visit to an artisan Gelato maker followed by a tasting of as many ice creams as you like and then down, along the most beautiful (and longest) downhill in the Chianti Classico region!

From Florence you will be transferred by van to the town of Castellina in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. Here you will enjoy a visit to the Gelateria, where proud owners will briefly explain and illustrate just how artisanal gelato is created. We will get to take a peek at the actual machinery utilized for the process as well, in their new gorgeous state of the art facility. This gelateria, carefully selected as an I Bike Tuscany exclusive place, has been featured in many Italian national newspapers for its high quality, one of a kind ice cream creations.

Afterwards get ready for one of the most amazing downhills in Tuscany... No pedaling, no sweat, just pure FUN as you relax and enjoy the scenery, coasting for miles on a perfect gentle downhill. And the scenery is, of course, spectacular -- the Chianti Classico region with its castles, vineyards and olive groves. Just when you're thinking it can't get much better, it does. At the bottom of the hill the tour continues by van to nearby San Gimignano, UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most famous village in Tuscany. You'll have two hours to explore the beautiful streets of this amazing town, also known as the "Manhattan of Tuscany" due to its fourteen medieval stone towers that make for its dramatic and unusual skyline in the bucolic surrounding. Then you will be delivered back to your hotel by your guide after an memorable day of riding, gelato tasting and touring.

Beginner skill level: Suitable for the occasional or casual cyclist.

Highlights: Gelato tasting, olive groves, gentle curving downhill and quaint medieval villages
