Deep in the Sonoran Desert in southern Arizona lies one of the finest stretches of singletrack anywhere - The Arizona Trail between Oracle, AZ and Superior, AZ. We often use the word "remote", but this section of trail may take the cake. It's OUT there. Despite being one of the hottest deserts in North America the Sonoran Desert is teaming with life. Gila monsters, desert tortoise, javelinas, rattlesnakes and countless types of cactus permeate the landscape. Rugged and unforgiving as it is beautiful - it is magical world many of us do not get to experience often.

Stretching 78 miles from Prescott National Forest in the north, along the foothills of the Bradshaw Mountains throughout, and finally terminating at the Carefree Highway just north of Phoenix the Black Canyon Trail is an incredible resource for mountain bikers in Central Arizona. Miles and miles of purpose-built singletrack snakes it way through the beautiful Sonoran Desert landscape. This trip is a great choice for intermediate riders looking for a reasonable challenge on singletrack. This tour also makes a great companion to a few ride days in Sedona before or after your trip.

The mountain biking in and around Durango is as good as it gets. World famous trails permeate the landscape: Hermosa Creek Trail, the Colorado Trail and the Telegraph trails just to name a few. During the spring, summer and fall Hermosa Tours can show you any of these rides and many more. You don't have to be an advanced rider - we can match your skill level to the right ride for you!.

The San Juan Mountain Range has been referred to as 'America's Alps'..a comparison with which we think you will agree. Hermosa Tours' expert guides will take you on some of the area's most classic routes, as well as a few special home-cooked secrets that surprise even Durango veterans.

Our base camp for this tour will be Silverpick Lodge. Tucked away in a quiet mountain setting, this village of private condo retreats features a flowing indoor/outdoor patio area complete with barbeques, a pool, and no fewer than three hot tubs. Each day after your ride we encourage you to grab a shower or soak in the hot tub before settling in next to the campfire! While you relax under the clear Rocky Mountain skies, let our guides fire up the BBQ for the night's meal as well as clean and professionally tune your bike in anticipation of the next day's adventure.We'll roll out early each morning to get ahead of the unpredictable weather that so often moves in during summer afternoons in the high mountains. This one of the primary reasons we elect not to camp along the trail for this tour. We usher you a world class ride and help you unwind in the cushy comfort of Silverpick Lodge. The singletrack of the Durango in Colors tour will lead you to ask the question, "Does the riding ever end in Durango?" Well yes, it does. Eventually the snow flies, but until it does you just need to keep moving to lower altitudes to keep on riding. We've put together a collection of 5 great routes to get you on Durango's trails when the aspens turn and transform the trail to a bed of golden coins.The Durango in Colors tour is a little different than the Durango High Country tour. Weather is typically more stable during September and October, so we can start a little later each morning. This gives us a chance to relax as the temps warm for our day's adventure. Each day of the tour we usher you a world class ride and help you unwind in the cushy comfort of Silverpick Lodge.

This 'tour' is a bit different from our typical trip offering. We created this trip for those who don't want a guide, don't want to be supported during the week and generally just want their own self-serve adventure with a bit of logistical assistance. Each day we relocate a very deluxe camp setup (provided by Ready Camp) of an 8x8 popup tent, full kitchen, dry firewood, camp chairs, fresh water, coolers of food and beverages (you purchase prior to trip) and all your personal gear like tents, bags and clothing. You can go as cheap or deluxe as you want on food, beverages and amenities!!

The rides we've chosen for you to explore this gorgeous region range from a twisting maze over the slickrock of Gooseberry Mesa to the fast flowy desert singletrack of the JEM Trail. The weather during spring and fall is ideal - plenty warm, but we'll avoid the scorching temps of the summer season.

The shuttle will drop you off at the Howard Johnson in St George, which is also our Monday morning pickup location, but you're welcome to stay anywhere you like in St George on your own this first night.

Our Kokopelli Trail mountain bike tour is our most popular. The 142-mile Kokopelli Trail that connects Fruita, CO to Moab, UT is a true desert classic. This diverse route snakes its way along the Colorado River on the first half of the ride (including some world-class singletrack early on), skirts its way around the north side of the La Sal Mountains, and finally spills riders down an incredible, must-do descent into Moab, UT. Along the way you'll enjoy very comfortable campsites, ready and waiting for you, in some inspiring locations.

Make sure you've read or picked up a copy of Ed Abbey's 'Monkey Wrench Gang' and load up your bike - this is about as good as it gets for riding a bike across Utah's fabled canyon country. We'll see Moab, Canyonlands National Park, Cedar Mesa, Lake Powell, Capitol Reef National Park, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park all in one trip - PHEW!!! This is a self-guided tour - no pampering, no frills and no beginner days. Nope, this is 5 days of big rides on your own. Each day we'll meet up and start together, meet you half way with the van so you can swap gear, grab a drink or food from your cooler and then your luggage and gear will be waiting for you in each destination town. Lodge as expensive or cheap as you want. Eat at a 5 star restaurant or cook Ramen Noodles on a camp stove. Your vacation on your budget!!!
