Our guides will tell you stories of the town in an entertaining and informative way to make sure you walk away with an in depth knowledge of this boutique wine village.You enjoy Martinborough more by bike, or why not hop aboard one of our ccol rickshaws, great if you want a bit of 'luxury' don' want to or can't ride a bicycle!We visit 3 wineries and an Olive Grove during this tour. The properties are carefully selected to ensure you get the most interesting cross-section of producers and wine available. You will enjoy a lovely picnic lunch in a sheltered spot along the way. Our gourmet food is handmade in our own kitchen and includes a wide variety of vineyard platter fare. We cater for all special dietary requirements.We offer free collection at the Featherston Railway Station for bookings of 6 or more people and are conveniently located in the heart of Martinborough to start this interesting tour.

The East Cape of New Zealand's North Island is a wonderful place. It is isolated and when you get there you feel as though you have stepped back in time. This tour takes in the best of the East Cape beaches bush and a few hills. It is followed by two days enjoying the Motu Trails, one of New Zealand's Great Rides.

This is a catered day ride requiring a good level of fitness, generally flat terrain with some small hills and undulations.Head off at about 9.30 in the morning through vineyards lining Martinborough. You trace your way along gravel roads and into limestone country at Ruakokoputuna. A kilometre or two past Blue Rock Road you find Patuna Farm. You will be shown to the Chasm Walk. Enjoy a stunning walk across the Farm, through beautiful native bush and the limestone chasm, Experience the wonder of fossils,ferns, stalactites, waterfalls, eels wildlife and native birds. Be prepared to get wet!You are then back on your bikes for a (mostly downhill) ride along the pictureque Blue Rock / Dry River Road, hopefully in time for a glass of wine at Murdoch James or Coney Wines. You can chose to ride back into Martinborough (7km) or give us a cal to come and collect you.A wonderful day!

Starting in Petone on the shores of Wellington Harbour, this ride spends a day on the banks of the beautiful Hutt River, climbing approximately 100m over a 35km stretch. The Hutt River offers great swimming spots and easy access to Hutt City and the acclaimed Dowse Art Gallery and Museum. In Upper hutt you can enjoy Harcourt Park and explore several Lord of the Rings sites, if you are a fan.Stay the night in Upper Hutt close to the riverbank before riding up and across the Rimutaka Range on the old Rimutaka Rail Trail. During this ride you will enjoy a few small ups and downs but predominantly the climbs are very mild. The Rimutaka Rail Trail has an extensive and interesting history, a treasure for rail buffs and just a beautiful experience for those not so interested in the trains.Whizz down the hill for 7 km into the Wairarapa Valley and into cute Featherston where this ride ends. You can expect 30-40 km of easy-moderate riding each day with only 10km in total on quiet roads.

We balance some days more challenging days with easy going wine sipping days. Our local knowledge means your experience will be unique and fascinating.The itinerary includes both sealed and unsealed roads in equal portions, there is some easy-moderate off road riding included. While we supply 27.5in hardtail mountain bikes for maximum comfort, you are also welcome to discuss you specific needs with us. Cyclists will need to be confident riding in off road.
