We now offer this new tour after many requests for a tour with shorter daily distances. You do not have to worry about the ongoing hills between Orford and Richmond - you will conquer them by bus!! You are cycling on the 'classic' tourist route along Tasmania´s East Coast, with many outstanding empty white beaches in a mild, mostly dry and sunny climate. A visit of the famous Freycinet National Park is possible. This tour can be shortened by up to 3 days, without increasing the daily mileage.

The North east with its temperate rainforests is a "hidden treasure" with only few tourists but many places to discover. 

The East coast is the 'classic' tourist route with more or less flat roads and endless empty white beaches in a mild climate. You will also visit Freycinet Nationalpark and Port Arthur. 
Fitness level is not an issue because you can use our support vehicle whenever you like.

This tour is our bestseller: You will cycle the 'classic' tourist route along Tasmania´s breathtaking East Coast, passing many outstanding empty white beaches in a mild, mostly dry and sunny climate. You have the possibility to visit the famous Freycinet National park by shuttle bus on your "day off". There are some hills between Richmond and Orford, the rest is undulating. Experienced cyclists will find this tour easy to manage, however it depends a lot on the wind direction on that day.

This tour takes you inland into rolling, green hills and rainforests - an astonishing contrast to the stunning coast line. Some long ascents make this tour more difficult than our East Coast Tour, but if you are at least moderately trained or have just completed our East coast tour, this should not present a problem for you.

The route is identical to our standard East Coast Tour, but your night in Hobart and the "day off" in Bicheno have been taken out to make the tour duration shorter. You will not see our capital Hobart but can still visit the famous Freycinet National Park, when you are really fit or use the small ferry to cross Moulting Lagoon (not always possible). There are some hills between Richmond and Orford, the rest is undulating. Experienced cyclists will find this tour easy, however this will depend on the wind direction on that day.

It goes through very dramatic scenery, lots of it in World Heritage listed areas or alpine country. Its very lonesome, with long distances between settlements, many hills and a greta chance of rain. You don't need to be exceptionally fit because you can join the support vehicle whenever you like.
