The Shira Mountain Bike route is a short 2 to 3-day trail, ideal for a brief biking experience on Kilimanjaro or as an acclimatization exercise before our standard 5-day Biking Kilimanjaro Expeditions.
Starting on the western side of Kilimanjaro, the Shira Mountain Bike route begins at the Londorossi Gate (2,100 meters) and follows a 4×4 track for approximately 15 kilometers. This track ends near Shira 1 Camp, close to the Shira Ridge (3,600 meters), covering the Shira Plateau. The Shira Mountain Bike route runs parallel to the Lemosho hiking route.
