Grand Tours Project and Bianchi have partnered to offer our guests the best possible high-performance cycle tours – the “Powered by Bianchi” series. And our first tour has been created to celebrate the life of one of the greatest cyclists of all time – Fausto Coppi.

Born in 1919, Coppi won his first Giro d'Italia at the tender age of 20 - still the youngest winner of the race. He went on to win the Giro four more times, and the Tour de France twice. And in 1949 he became the first rider to win both the Tour and Giro in the same year … doing it again in 1952.

Nearly all of his victories were on Bianchi bikes, in the Bianchi team.

Our tour will take you to where Coppi is best remembered for his greatest victories and legendary moments – his climb up the highest paved pass in Europe, Col de l’Iseran, in the 1949 Tour de France; his Stage 10 victory on Alpe d’Huez in the 1952 Tour de France; the Stage 11 victory on Col du Galibier the following day; his world hour record in Milan in 1942; his stage 20 win on Passo dello Stelvio in the 1953 Giro (his 5th Giro title).

We'll also visit his hometown in Piemonte where he was born, and his home that has been converted into a museum dedicated to his life and times. And we will enjoy a ride on his favourite childhood roads. A VIP visit to the Bianchi factory near Treviglio and a special dinner at Milan old town will take us deep inside the history and innovation of this iconic brand.

On our final ride of the tour, to celebrate the 101st anniversary of his birthday, we'll challenge ourselves to a double ascent of Stelvio, which was the venue for maybe his greatest victory - his 5th Giro title.

There are so many stories, drama's and legends about Coppi, and this tour will allow you to explore his fascinating life, both on and off the road. Immerse yourself into both Fausto Coppi's life and the Bianchi bike brand by joining us in this unique tour experience.
