Come and discover Pézenas and the beautiful land around. For sure, Pézenas is not the most famous town of southern France. However it is one of the most beautiful with its medieval old town and all this historic buildings of that time that often are listed as protected monuments. And so it is not by chance that Molière and the famous ‘Illustre Théatre’ used to come here so many times to play and also to find again some inspiration. And the land around Pézenas is certainly not less worth to be discovered. You will ride through a gently hilly countryside always marked by its vineyards. In the north you will see the first mountains of the Cevennes. And the daily destinations are really worth to be seen. Agde and Béziers are former Greek colonies and two of the oldest towns in France. They have been founded more than 2500 years ago and so their cultural heritage is enormous.
The Canal du Midi with all its bridges and locks is a unique monument and has changed people’s lives here so sustainable since the end of the 17th century. The Etang the Thau between Mèze and Sète is one of the most important places for oysters along the Mediterranean Sea and there are lots of little cozy restaurants on the bank of the lake where you can taste them in a perfect atmosphere…what a wonderful experience.
