The Grand Tour Chablais has the reputation of being a particularly demanding "Grand Tour"! But, first and foremost, it is a superb mountainous route, which will take you through 371 km of scenic roads consisting of 22 difficult passes. Created in 1978 by Georges Rossini, this superb cycling route is a real alpine challenge for all cyclists who dream of climbing the world famous passes *: col de Joux Plane (one of the most difficult in the Alps), col de la Joux Verte, Col du Corbier ... The route takes place on winding roads with steep climbs and very technical descents. Departing from Thonon-les-Bains, the capital of the great Chablais, this Grand Tour takes place over 2 days with two cycling loops of (A) 186.2 km and (B) 185.2 km or if you prefer a longer break, the ride can be done in 4 days!

The passes are generally passable from June until mid-October. However, the opening and closing dates of the altitude passes may vary depending on the snow/weather conditions at the time.

Highlights

  • Discovery of magnificent alpine passes, some of which are part of the legend of the Tour de France.
  • The ancestral land (picturesque villages, traditions, gastronomy) of superb Savoy alpine valleys.
  • Superb views of the eternal snows of the Mont-Blanc massif (4807m altitude).

Grand Tour Chablais, the self-guided bike-freedom formula for cycling at your own pace.
