Guided, Self-Guided

Self-guided e-bike ride or private guided experience, with wildlife encounters

Explore the forests and ridgelines of the Adelaide Hills by e-bike on this half-day mountain biking adventure around Mount Lofty, Cleland Conservation Park and Belair National Park. Choose a self-guided ride from the Belair base using preloaded GPS routes, or a private guided experience with transport from central Adelaide or Glenelg.

Routes combine flowing forest trails, quiet access roads, backcountry riding and scenic descents with sweeping views across the city and plains. Wildlife is a big part of the appeal, with good chances of spotting wild koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and emus along the way. Guided tours include a morning tea or café stop and the option to visit Cleland Wildlife Park.

Routes are tailored to the group's ability and interests, making this a relaxed but adventurous way to see the Hills just minutes from the city.

Highlights:

  • Flexible riding routes around Mount Lofty, Cleland and Belair
  • Forest trails and scenic descents through native bush
  • Chances to spot wild koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and emus
  • Views across Adelaide and the plains
  • Optional visit to Cleland Wildlife Park
  • Morning tea or café stop on guided experiences

Surface and terrain:
Mixed off-road riding on forest trails, quiet access roads and backcountry tracks, with scenic descents through the Hills. Some climbing, made easier by e-bikes. Trails can be slippery in wet conditions.

Suitable for:
Beginner to intermediate riders comfortable on mixed off-road terrain for 2 to 3 hours. Ideal for nature and wildlife lovers, couples, families and small groups. Routes can be adjusted to suit ability.
