king of the mountains

Valencia is the second most mountainous region in Spain playing host to many of the decisive stages for La Vuelta a España and Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, two of the oldest and most prestigious stage races in professional cycling. The roll call of winners, from past champions Van Looy, Merckx, Hinault and Roche, to the modern greats Contador, Quintana and Valverde, have all triumphed on the slopes of the toughest mountains the region has to offer.

Head inland to experience a stunning location to challenge yourself on more of the best mountains than it's possible to ride anywhere else in the region.

A special request escape, for stronger and experienced groups of riders wanting to challenge themselves on the best of the mountains in the Alicante and Valencia region, tackling climbs simply beyond reach from the coast.

We have more climbs, mountains and national parks on routes that head out in every direction. Choose to ride familiar high mountain classics such as Puerto de Tudons and Puerto Confrides or ride something new every day of the week from our myriad routes taking 1000m mountains such as Reconco de Biar, Carresqueta, Canalis, Font Roja, Puerto Benifallim, Puerto Peregri, Port del Moro, Balcon de Alacant, Las Canteras any many more, as well as the some of hardest climbs such as the Xorret de Cati, Ermita de Sant Esteve, Cumbres de Valencia, Alt del Campello (aka the Contador climb) and Coll de Safor.

The climbers escape can be 4-14 days in duration, riding different routes and climbs each day.
