Destination Cycling welcomes you to a special training week in Mallorca, Spain. Come ride with us on the island that is known all over Europe for early season cycling. Over 250,000 cyclists of all levels and riding desires visit this Island each year. Mallorca has built an infrastructure that caters directly to all levels and all types of cyclists. From the flats (if needed), to the rollers (sure why not), to traditional European switch­back climbs (oh yes, that is why you came), Mallorca has it all and is one of the best areas to start your season.

We will be staying at the beautiful Zafiro Palace Alcudia Spa Resort located on the northeastern side of the island and gateway for easy access on our daily rides. We’ve listened to many of your requests over the past few years and believe this is the hotel you have been asking for! Your trip package includes all breakfasts and dinners at this Wellness and Spa style hotel. The weather has historically been mild with temps from 60’s to low 70’s and with over 300 days of sunshine we hope “Mother Nature” will shine on us while we are there.

Imagine yourself and your friends enjoying a grand vacation to the awe-inspiring Dolomiti mountain range in July of 2020. The mountains will serve as one of most beautiful backdrops for your cycling vacation. Get ready for a slice of Italy….a touch of everything that Italy has to offer, small bites for sure….but you will get a great taste of this beautiful country. What does your slice of the of pie look like, you ask? It has to be the northern Italian cuisine, the jaw-dropping scenery of the Dolomites, the creamy fresh gelato and riding some of the best serpentine roads in Europe.

In Destination Cycling fashion, we look forward to ensuring that you are taken care of the entire trip. From initial bicycle setup, to our beautiful hotel Arkadia, to surviving the Dolomites day by day, to finding the best gelato and cappuccino in our host town of Corvara, Destination Cycling will be with you the entire way.

It’s time to escape winter and join us in sunny Tucson Arizona for a week of base miles and training.  We have a week of planned rides, including flats, rolling hills and of course it would be right traveling to Tucson and not climbing some of the famous peaks it has to offer us.  Your week of riding is fully supported by Destination Cycling, including your hotel, transfer to and from the airport, ride support for each ride and constant interaction with our staff to answer all your cycling questions.

Our week begins in Chianti. As you ride through vineyards and olive groves, past villas and castles, you will gaze across the rolling landscape to walled villages scattered among the hilltops. There will be plenty of time to visit the local vineyards and sample some of the many excellent regional wines.

As we ride south towards the medieval walled city of Siena, you will learn about the city’s contrade, tour the black and white marble Duomo, and do a bit of shopping. We leave Chianti and ride through the Crete Senese. Climb to the Monte Oliveto Maggiore Abbey set among the cypress trees where you will see frescoes of the life of St. Benedict. Sample pecorino cheese in its hometown of Pienza. The trip finishes in Montalcino but not until we climb the famous Mount Amiata. Cultural and tourism opportunities abound, and combined with the amazing cycling, you won’t want to go home!
