Desert Paramours Trek and Travel
Outdoor adventures and Tours to Jordan
Desert paramours travel consists of a team of 11 Bedouin brothers. Each one is driven by a love of nature and a passion for deserts. The company enjoys a high profile and excellent reputation.
We do things informally, differently, and with total dedication. To us you are not just a tourist but an honoured guest and a new found friend. Our welcome to friends from other countries is as old as human travel itself. We want you to meet people and to make new friends. And when you leave, to take a piece of Jordan with you in your heart.
We are Bedouins of Petra. We were born in a Bedouin tent on the mountain heights above we were a boys our family would often take our rest and relaxation in the caves of the ancient city of Petra .
Petra was our playground as a children and our paramours place. We used to walk almost ten miles to school, and living in this openness made our minds open and our dreams infinite. When we finished our higher education we decided to become a travel agent, a job we had wanted to do all our life.

Petra - Rajif Mountains - Bedouin Villages - Wadi Rum
On this trip we cycle from the rose-red city of Petra, through the amazing landscape of the Rajif Mountains, down the Kings' Way, passing through Bedouin Villages to arrive at Wadi Rum.
You will have the opportunity to ‘get up close and personal’ with Jordan’s natural beauty and to sample true Bedouin hospitality as you eat local food and sleep in a traditional desert tent.
The terrain varies from flat desert to some short climbs between wadi. This is a reasonably long day of cycling so a reasonably high-level of personal fitness is required. This is particularly the case during the warm summer months in Jordan, when any physical exertion is particularly tiring.

One week cycling through stunning desert scenery, plus Petra and Madaba
The Kingdom of Jordan is an ideal destination for a week long break. It includes one of the most spectacular wonders in the world - the 'Rose-red city' of Petra - and the ancient sites of Madaba and Mount Nebo. Away from the temples and monuments we ride through quiet villages and ancient olive groves, along the waymeeting some of the Bedouin people, renowned for their hospitality. There is also the opportunity to float in the Dead Sea and snorkel in the Red Sea, ensuring that there is time to relax and unwind as well as explore. Most relaxing of all is the night spent in Wadi Rum, the former headquarters of Lawrence of Arabia. Here the solitude, the majestic desert scenery and incredible night skies, ensure a memorable evening of star gazing.
This trip is classified Road and graded B/Moderate. The terrain varies from flat desert to some climbs from wadi to wadi on the desert highway. The climbs are not generally that long but in the warmer months these can be tiring so a reasonable level of fitness is required. This tour centres on the Jordan valley using mostly tarmac roads, which are generally in a good state of repair, with some unsurfaced sections. Mountain bikes are ideal for this trip and flat bars are preferable.
