Our fixed base tour lodging in the medieval village of Vaison la Romaine (Vaison) is poised high above the modern city of Vaison, a Roman archeological wonder. Old and new Vaison are split by the Ouveze River but conveniently connected by a medieval Roman bridge which you will cross many times as you wander back and forth between the old and new worlds of the villages.

Our location is conveniently positioned a few short kilometers from the base of Mont Ventoux, one of the most famous and iconic stages and climbs of the Tour de France. And YES, you will have the opportunity to ride to the summit of Mont Ventoux on one of our daily rides, an unforgettable and exhilarating experience!

If you’d rather lounge near the sea our hotel provides us with our own private beach just steps from the lobby as well as a pool overlooking the beach. Join us for 10 wonderful days and nights in the beautiful southeast region of Sicily, home of abundant sunshine, brilliant colors, unparalleled history, splendid wines and great local cuisine! Our SPLIT-BASE (i.e. – two FIXED BASES) tour will begin only 3 kilometers from the city of Noto (5 nights) and end in Ragusa Ibla (5 nights), both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The tour will also take us to several other villages with the same designation to include Siracusa, Modica, Palazzolo Acreide, and Scicli, which represents the highest level of artistic and architectural achievements in the Baroque style of the day.

Join us for 8 wonderful days and 7 nights on the breathtaking Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Located very near the famous surfing community of Nosara in the Guanacaste Province on the Nicoya Peninsula, you will find your days filled with sunshine and fresh sea air and evenings of unparalleled sunsets and starry skies. This fixed base lodging tour will include 5 days of riding along gravel routes on rental mountain bikes.

Our lodging is only a short 10 minute drive to the heart of the beach community of Nosara which offers wonderful Costa Rican cuisine and many shopping opportunities offering Costa Rican made goods. However, you will likely not often want to wander too far from our hotel, Boutique Hotel Lagarta Lodge, or better described as the “Eco Lodge at the Pacific Ocean”. Views from nearly every vantage point at the lodge are simply breathtaking. Each evening prior to our meeting we will take in the sunset, a finely tuned ritual at the lodge complete with it’s own viewing deck. From the sunset deck you will be able to get that perfect sunset photo while taking your favorite beverage and watching the Howler monkeys supervising our sunset ritual. In addition, you can visit the hotel’s own nature reserve, relax in the spa, take a yoga class or view the coast directly from the lodge’s infinity pools while incased in the warmth of the day far away from the bitter cold of the north.

This fixed base lodging tour will include 5 days of riding along gravel routes on rental mountain bikes. Routes will be either out and back or loop rides returning to the lodge in late morning or early afternoon.

Join us for 10 wonderful days and nights in the beautiful Veneto region, in the Vicenza province of northern Italy at the base of the pre-Alps. This area of Italy is known for its incomparable scenery, unparalleled history, splendid wines and grappa, great local cuisine and outstanding cycling! Our fixed base tour lodging is located in the outskirts of Bassano del Grappa only 1 kilometer from city center. Bassano is only a 1½ hour bus or train ride from Venice, which is the recommended arrival point and where our shuttle will pick you up for the trip to our hotel. Our tour will visit, among others, the famed towns of Asolo, Cittadella, Marostica and, of course, Bassano del Grappa.
