Paddy Sweeney runs Cycling France.
I have been a cyclist for over 30 years. I have raced at Elite level and liked riding in the Pyrenees so much that I moved there for 10 years. I have been organizing cycling holidays since 2003. The first trip to see Le Tour de France in the mountains was in 2007. I have years of experience organizing group cycling tours in mainland Europe, including 10 years as the owner of Pyrenees Cycling Lodge & Velo Peloton Pyrenees Bike Rental. I’m a Cytech-qualified bike mechanic and have years of experience working in bike rental and repair shops. Raid Pyrenees, Spanish training camps, the high alps, Tour de France & other world tour stage races & one-day classics, I have organized trips to them all. You can trust that your cycling trip is being handled by experts.

France at its best
600km over 6 days (shorter routes or more days available), starting and finishing in the magnificent city of Bordeaux. Beautiful river gorges of the Dordogne and Lot Valleys Cycling Tour, vineyards, and a seemingly endless procession of breathtaking medieval villages. The scenery is amazing, your camera will be worn out by the end of the trip. Great quiet roads with lots of variety but no lung-busting steep grades. Here you will find some of the most beautiful cycling roads in France. April, May, June, September, and October are great. May is my favorite time. July and August can get very busy.
