For all the different levels of cycling ability and fitness, there’s a constant series of riding challenges. Gran Canaria is never mundane and is always diverse, that’s why so many riders keep coming back for more!
Even the fittest & strongest of riders who’ve been coming here for years, will admit to accepting there are still some routes they have yet to ride!

The Island Authorities too have seen the increase in cycling and have maintained all the island’s roads to an F1 standard! With average temp of 22º-24º, and wide blue skies all year round, it makes for the perfect cycling holiday.

For you we know the hotel is just as important as the riding, because you really spend more time there than at any other activity! So we have increased the quality of our offer , 2 levels of hotel,Gloria Palace 4* and Cordial Green Golf 2* Aparthotel.

At Gloria Palace we have included a free visit to their famous Thalasso to experience their 5 Senses package, the perfect way to relax after a long cycling tour. As always you have the very best range of new Cannondale, Specialised and Pinarello bikes to choose from every year,and this year we have the new disc brake models to choose from, though I’m still not convinced anyone needs them!!

There’s just and is still, an enormous amount of undiscovered trails and tracks that only the really intrepid bikers can explore and map.

So with our help, we can at least show you what you can do, to whet your appetite for longer, more diverse rides in the future. It’s certainly tough riding here, but you’ll have the latest in mountain biking technology supplied by Cannondale and Specialised to ensure you cope with the varied terrain and changing surfaces. You can upgrade too and try out something really advanced!
 
All riders are shuttled up to the trailheads, where you’ll get prepped to spend a glorious day cutting and carving your way back down to the coast, through the best scenery the island has to offer.Each day is a different trail in a different part of the island.

We stay in luxurious hotels right across the island, starting from the hot and arid south, to the cool forests in the interior, then moving down to the windy north west coast, before making our way down the spine of the west coast, crossing 3 weather zones to arrive back in the south, a last valiant effort takes back up to the centre almost to the top, before we descend again to the south and our last night with a big party!

Gran Canaria has always been a pro cycling destination, old photos of Merckx, Indurain & Pantani adorn some of the old cyclists restaurants,now again with Saxobank Tinkoff, Cannondale, IAM and many others, the island has a second birth in the modern times. The Govt has responded positively by resurfacing nearly all of the roads to F1 quality, opening new tunnels to syphon of the majority of the traffic along the coast roads. The climbs are still long and steep but consistent and also with plateaus so one can recover, repare and go again.

All the hotels are bike friendly and the local traffic are resoundingly polite and shout encouragement to you, no doubt some of them are reliving past glory days, because the typical Canarian man or woman will have done some sport and all will have respect for you in facing their mountains!

The Tour of Gran Canaria is the only supported tour of the complete island.
