Cycle Canada
Discovering Canada By Bicycle Since 1988
They offer a range of supported tours, from leisurely tours to challenging expeditions - in all Canadian Provinces & two Territories
Cycle Canada is a Canadian company owned by Bud Jorgensen and Margot Jorgensen.
During the past four decades Bud has created a number of well known cycling events and has developed new routes that have become recognized as Canadian classics. including the Toronto Bicycle Network's Pelee Wheelie, first held in 1986, and, the TBN's signature event Cyclon, first held in 1987. You can read about how Cyclon began here: Cyclon.
In 1987 Bud founded Tour du Canada, an annual cross Canada bicycle ride with an international reputation. In 1995 Bud and Margot researched and laid the ground work for the first annual BiQue Ride, a one week ride from Toronto to Montreal. Since then they have expanded the roster of trips throughout Canada, including Acadian Coast in New Brunswick, the Cariboo Trail in British Columbia, Erie Shores, and a cross-Canada ride from south to north - Tour Arctic - where cyclists travel from Vancouver to Inuvik, N.W.T., crossing the Arctic Circle.

A Clockwise Loop Around Cape Breton's Cabot Trail
Cabot Trail is a seven-day trip that starts and ends in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on Cape Breton Island. Riders travel through the Gaelic heart of Celtic settlements in Atlantic Canada. Historians still argue about whether Venetian explorer John Cabot made landfall in Cape Breton or Newfoundland on his 1497 voyage financed by an English king. But there is no doubt that the Scots and Irish settlers who came later established a culture of friendliness and music that is evident everywhere in modern Cape Breton.

Join us for Cycle Canada's Annual Century Ride
Kick start your cycling season at the Tour du Canada Century Ride, a classic cycling weekend held annually in May. A get-together of the cycling clans, attracting clubs and riders from Ontario, Quebec and U.S. border states. Riders start at Maple with a choice of 100 kilometres or 100 miles to Barrie on the Saturday and return to Maple on the Sunday. This May event was first held in the spring of 1988 as a training weekend for the first Tour du Canada ride. The weekend is a retreat and an opportunity for cyclists to socialize. The terrain on both routes is not difficult. Over the years, the age range of those riding with us on the May weekend has been 8 to 80 plus.
