The Dingle Peninsula (Corca Dhuibhne in Irish) is the northernmost of the major peninsulas in County Kerry. Running west towards the famed Blasket Islands, the peninsula also plays host to Ireland's second highest mountain, Mount Brandon (951 metres). Locals take pride in the archaelogical, literary and historical significance of the area.
