100 Miles, 8 Lochs & the Rob Roy Way!

Looking for a classic Scottish bikepacking adventure? This three-day, 100-mile self-guided journey takes you through rolling hills, past sparkling lochs, along old railway lines, and into the heart of the Trossachs. Expect remote campsites, famous “Gravelfoyle” tracks, and even the option of a loch swim or a ride on the historic Loch Katrine steamboat.

Leaving Comrie Croft, follow the Water of Ruchill into the hills before rolling into Callander. From here, quiet gravel paths lead deep into the Trossachs and your first lochside camp beside Loch Drunkie.
Stock up in Aberfoyle before a day of lochs and forest tracks. Ride the celebrated “Gravelfoyle” trails towards Loch Katrine, with the option to detour around the loch or hop aboard the steamboat if timings align. Camp beside the peaceful shores of Loch Achray.
Stay on the Great Trossachs Path as it undulates alongside Loch Venachar, before joining the Rob Roy Way next to Ben Ledi. An old railway line carries you from Lochearnhead along the length of Loch Earn, before your final spin back to Comrie Croft.

With a carefully designed route, high-quality kit, and logistics all taken care of, this trip offers the freedom of independent travel with the reassurance of remote support. Simply bring your personal gear and a sense of adventure — whether you’re new to bikepacking or a seasoned rider, you’ll be fully supported every step of the way.
