Crossing estuaries and fjords in different locations of the Carretera Austral.
We start our route with ferry journeys crossing estuaries and fjords that will connect us with different locations of the Carretera Austral.
This bicycle trip invites you to get to know the most spectacular landscapes of the Carretera Austral Norte. We will begin the journey navigating the Reloncavi Estuary and the bimodal route and pedaling in the middle of national parks, mountains, lakes, rivers, fjords, glaciers and native forests of the Lakes Region and Aysén.
You will visit more than 10 locations, including Hornopirén, Chaitén, Villa Santa Lucía, La Junta, Puyuhuapi, Mañihuales, Puerto Aysén, Coyhaique, Cerro Castillo and Puerto Tranquilo. We will be staying in the best accommodation and hospitality services as possible in this remote destination and combining it with adventure activities, learning part of the history, traditions and local culture. This route faces paved stages and loose gravel roads, as well as important challenges such as the Moraga, Queulat slopes and the Cerro Castillo pass.
Discover spectacular attractions such as Pumalín Douglas Tompkins National Park and its history behind the largest donation of land for conservation in the world, ancient Alerce trees, the Yelcho Glacier, Palena River, Risopatrón Lake, the majestic hanging glacier in Queulat National Park, Cerro Castillo National Park views and the Marble chapels. Do not miss this great experience where friendship, multicultural encounters between participants and host communities and the opportunity to travel and contribute in a sustainable way can happen. Take this unique moment for a transformative and memorable cycling experience in Patagonia Chile.
