On this easy cycling trip, you will discover China's cultural and geographic highlights. A small group and a dedicated and flexible guide will make this tour a unique experience. We are a small tour operator specialised in cycling tours in China - everyone of our staff has spent time living in the Middle Kingdom and will be dedicated to share their enthusiasm for the country and its people with you! This tour represents what our company stands for - an unfiltered China-experience, an original route and as much time as possible spent outside exploring. On a typical day spent on the bike you will cycle leisurely, having enough time for spontaneous exploration and taking photos. After reaching the destination in the afternoon and taking a shower you then have the rest of the day to relax or experience bustling markets and the Chinese everyday-life together with your tour guide. A day of cycling will make you hungry - so you will surely want to try some of the delicous fresh and regional dishes in a one of the local restaurants! On the journey, you'll roam through Beijing's charming Hutongs, cycle to Ming Tombs North of the capital and climb the steep stairs of the Great Wall at Huanghua. After taking a sleeper train to Guilin, you will discover the fascinating karst hills around the Li River and Yangshuo on two wheels. At the end of the trip, you'll pay a visit to China's 'Gate to the West' - Shanghai. You will cycle on paved roads predominantly through rural areas covering 40 km on average on the cycling stages. Avoiding unnecessary transfers whenever possible, cycling in and out of cities is included on our routes, giving you the possibility to experience urban and suburban scenes and get a full picture of this fascinating and diverse country and its culture.
