After breakfast at the Palmetto Cafe, we begin our ride today as we will cycle past historic homes and to the top of the new Ravenel Bridge for a panoramic view of the harbor and city. We cruise down the bridge and onto Mount Pleasant's waterfront park and onto Patriots Point and a close up view of the USS Yorktown, then to the Old Village of Mount Pleasant. We continue and Sullivan's Island and Ft. Moultrie, then across Breach Inlet to Isle of Palms, as well. The serene beaches, rich marshes, and striking views of the Atlantic Ocean are a treat. Group ride of 26 miles with an option of 10 more.
After a ride to Ft. Moultrie on Sullivan's, we enjoy lunch at one of the area's more popular restaurants. Afterwards we drive by van to Boone Hall Plantation for a tour of America's most photographed plantation as well as one of America's oldest working, living plantations which has produced crops continuously for over 320 years.
We return to Charleston Place where you may relax at their stunning pool, spa or shop on your own.Evening: Enjoy a delicious meal at one of Charleston's fine restaurants on your own....
