Start the route where you want, and to get your feet wet, discover the Saône-et-Loire part from Anost to Autun. In the saddle for adventure!

This nature break, in the heart of Charolais-Brionnais, invites you to discover the riches of its Roman and natural heritage by electric bike  .

Between vineyards and heritage of the Middle Ages, the region is a land of contrast and flamboyance that offers multiple possibilities for discovery.

 

The remains of the castles, the roofs covered with multicolored enameled tiles, the numerous cellars and even the wine museum are all attractions that you will discover during this walk.

The kilometers will pass to the rhythm of castles, hamlets, chapels or churches, fountains, washhouses, and bread ovens…. A short day through the countryside and you will reach the blue way, a former towpath, along the Saône between Tournus and Mâcon. It is therefore on the route of the horses of yesteryear that you will continue this bucolic route bordered by vineyards, meadows and corn fields to finish at the South Gate of Burgundy: Mâcon.

This circuit will lead you to explore all the riches of Burgundy, architectural, industrial and historical heritage. Passing on the Burgundy Canal, the Nivernais and the Canal du Center, you will enjoy tourist sites of towns and villages of character. You can also walk on the vineyard path.

You will also discover the industrial heritage, the central canal having been the most productive of the Burgundian canals.
All this in a diverse landscape between the southern edges of the Côte de Beaune and the Charolais groves.

You will enjoy tourist sites and towns and villages of character: La Bussière, Châteauneuf-en-Auxois, the vault of Pouilly, Alésia, Montbard, Tanlay and Tonnerre.
Leaving the Burgundy Canal, you can stroll through the vineyards between Tonnerre and Auxerre and retrieve the Nivernais canal as far as Clamecy.

With this unique circuit, you will start on the first Greenway in France, to the rhythm of the train of yesteryear while admiring the most beautiful views of southern Burgundy.
