This moderate 1.5-mile round-trip guided hike is a great opportunity to explore Hawaii’s lush tropical rainforest, experience tranquil streams and splash in a privately owned waterfall. Join us on a guided Koolau waterfall hike on private property as we explore lush tropical vegetation of Hawaii’s paradise, tranquil streams, a picturesque pool and a secluded 35 ft waterfall with ocean views of windward Oahu.

With average year-round temperatures of 80 degree (cooler in the rainforest), refreshing trade winds and two volcanic mountain ranges on this Hawaiian island, Oahu is a hiker’s paradise. Given the popularity of hiking, and since most all other hiking companies feature public trails and multiple groups, the secluded personality of the rainforest is often compromised. As a locally owned and operated company with a particular passion for the unique Oahu volcanic rainforest , we take great pride in knowing our guests are experiencing something unique. Our rainforest adventure is more than a hike; it is a journey to the old Hawai’i. This is a mild to moderate hike over dirt trail with rocks and roots. In the rainforest, expect rain and forest. Trail can be muddy and slippery when wet. Hawaiian waterfalls will vary in water output depending on many factors, including recent rainfall. Hiking time is approximately 1.5 hours.

Yes, E-bike tours are here in Honolulu, Hawaii. After 20-years in the bike tour business, we are moving into Greener pastures. Our headquarters at Bike Hawaii is now powered with 24 Photovoltaic Solar Panels, so we are excited to introduce our solar powered electric-assist bicycle tour that provides an 11-spd drivetrain, 250-watt motor  and a 500-watt battery providing a serious boost of climbing power while preserving the feel of riding a mountain bike. With an E-Bike Tour above Honolulu, uphill riding has become thrilling and a ton of fun. Our #10MilesofSmiles ride is a paved mountain road climb and descent and is a perfect Honolulu E-bike tour for couples. With our tag-a-long trailers, you could even bring the little ones 5-years and up with a max weight of 85lbs. Total elevation gain is just over 1,600 feet above Honolulu. We stop at all the best viewpoints so you can take pictures to preserve the memories of this lush rainforest riding experience. From this mountain perch, riders are rewarded with stunning views of O’ahu from Manoa Valley to Diamond Head (Le’ahi Crater) and from Waikiki to Ewa Beach, Pearl Harbor and the Waianae Mountains in the distance. Surrounded by changing forest, you will ride thru eucalyptus forest, swamp mahagony, bamboo, banyan, all while hearing the sounds of various birds singing in the trees. Bike Hawaii Tours is now offering a second location to “enjoy the ride”! The North Shore of O’ahu is famous for its surf breaks like Waimea Bay, Pipeline and Sunset Beach. But, tucked away under the tree canopy is a super fun, purpose-built trail system located on 850 acres of private property. The machine built trails are at sea level, so picture perfect ocean views are found throughout the ride.

The trails offer fun for everyone with light challenge for skilled riders and ear to ear grins for the family. Several loop options with a variety of challenges from easy to ride dirt roads to single track with berm turns to keep the excitement alive. Come ride the countryside!

Trails are rated family friendly easy to moderate. Includes water, trail snacks, round-trip Transportation from Waikiki, mountain bike, helmet, and professional guide. Along the drive, there will also be a no-host lunch stop at the iconic north shore shrimp trucks.

Explore the Waikiki ahupua’a “From Rainforest to Reef” on this spectacular eco-adventure with Bike Hawaii Tours. 

The moderate 2-mile round-trip guided hike is a great opportunity to explore Hawaii’s lush tropical rainforest, experience tranquil streams and view a stunning Hawaiian waterfall. Join us on a guided waterfall hike on private property as we explore lush tropical vegetation of Hawaii’s paradise, tranquil streams, a picturesque pool and a secluded 35 ft waterfall with ocean views of windward Oahu.

Then, we’ll shuttle you up to Puu Ohia near 2000ft in the Koolau mountains. After gearing up, we’ll begin coasting 5-miles downhill on comfortable cruiser bikes over paved road through a lush Oahu rainforest. Stopping at different overlooks, our nature tour guides will point out places of interest and geological features from high above Honolulu and Waikiki. Once we reach the bottom, enjoy a delicious deli-lunch and beverage before a quick shuttle to Kewalo Basin. With its twin 140hp engines and Bose Sound System, we’ll board the 38.6ft Kahala Kai catamaran and set sail on the blue Pacific Ocean on a relaxing adventure off beautiful Waikiki. Learn about the Hawaiian reef and see Waikiki, Honolulu and Leahi (Diamond Head) from a very different perspective. Swim or snorkel in the warm waters fronting Waikiki Beach as we search for honu (green sea turtles) and tropical reef fish. Nai’a (spinner dolphins) are sometimes seen playing off the wake of our catamaran. Seasonal kohola (Pacific Humback whales) are usually seen between the months of December through April. Complimentary drinking water and a fresh water rinse is available for your convenience. Bring your camera, swim wear and towel. Listen to smooth Hawaiian music from our Bose Sound System and soak in some Hawaiian sun…

This is family fun too! Even the kids will love it. The catamaran is fully equipped with two onboard restrooms, necessary life jackets for kids and adults and comes with masks, snorkels, and swimfins for optional swimming.
