A 3-day e-bike ride through Seville's wild Sierra Morena, linking white villages, river gorges and Roman ruins.

The Sierra Morena E-Bike Tour explores a lesser-visited corner of northern Andalusia with local guides Camino Viejo Cazalla. Starting near El Pedroso, riders cross the Sierra Morena Natural Park through holm oak and cork oak forest, following the Huéznar River to the white village of Cazalla de la Sierra and on to Constantina, with its Moorish quarter and castle.

Day two takes in the mining-scarred landscape of Cerro del Hierro, the river beach at San Nicolás del Puerto, and a return leg along the Sierra Norte Greenway. The final day is a mostly downhill, off-road run through dehesa woodland to the Roman ruins of Mulva-Munigua, finishing in Villanueva del Río y Minas.

Pick-up and drop-off are arranged from Seville, with a guide and support vehicle throughout.

Highlights:

  • Riding through the wild, unspoiled Sierra Morena on e-bikes, largely off-road
  • Scenic descent along the Huéznar River to Constantina's Moorish castle
  • Cerro del Hierro Natural Monument, shaped by centuries of mining
  • River beach and spring source at San Nicolás del Puerto
  • Roman ruins of Mulva-Munigua, once a major Baetican mining and trading centre
  • Classic dehesa landscapes of holm oaks and grazing livestock on the final stage

Surface and terrain:
15% paved, 85% gravel, mostly off-road. Rolling hills with a few challenging climbs, plus a predominantly downhill off-road final day. E-bikes provided throughout.

Likely weather:
Mediterranean climate, sunny with long daylight hours. Spring/autumn 8-19°C, summer 22-35°C (cooler at altitude). Rainfall minimal.

Suitable for:
Riders of moderate fitness wanting an active, leisurely trip, including those new to cycle touring. Daily rides of 40-50 km over 4-6 hours, with a support vehicle available if needed. Minimum 1 participant.
