Ride, learn, relax.
Join us on this coached riding retreat in Mexico's glorious Baja California where days are kept simple so you can focus on riding your bike, recharging and enjoying the sun. This holiday is based in the small fishing village (also kite-surfing mecca) of La Ventana, located on the eastern shore of the Baja along the beautiful Sea of Cortez. We'll pedal from the door of our seaside resort each morning to access 133 kms of buffed and fun desert trails that are suitable for intermediate and above riders. Rides are typically three-four hours long (shorter & longer available) followed by lunch and an afternoon at your leisure. The focus of this riding retreat is to improve your fitness for the upcoming riding season, learn some new riding techniques and most importantly have a ton of fun and relaxation. Professional coaching by Whistler-based Katrina Strand (& sometimes guest coaches) who brings a wealth of expertise to all levels of riders. There's lots to do when not on the bike; sipping drinks and relaxing in the shade, eating fish tacos and delicious cuisine, daily yoga at our private studio or just reading your book and napping in a hammock. More ambitious options that we can help you organize are taking a kite-surfing lesson, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling with whale sharks, surfing on the Pacific ocean or SUP'ing. According to Singletracks.com La Ventana boasts six of the top ten trails in Mexico. Rental bikes and E-MTB's are available on this retreat.

MOUNTAIN BIKE HOLIDAY IN GUATEMALA
This riding adventure starts in the city of Antigua with its magnificent Spanish colonial relics, cobblestone streets, pastel facades surrounded by volcanoes and lush forests. Our warm-up ride is at 'El Zur', a private mountain bike park in the jungle with 25 km of machine-built flowing bliss. Then it's time for some singletrack riding in the beautiful hills around the Antigua before transfering to the Mayan ruins of Iximche to ride Tecpan's best trails. The next leg is great ride through authentic communities to Lake Atitlán, one of the nicest places that you've ever seen where fishermen in rustic boats crisscross the lake's aquamarine surface while indigenous women in multicoloured outfits do their washing by the banks while a volcano-studded horizon looms in the distance. We'll spend a night in the vibrant town of Panajachel, then transfer to a beautiful boat-access only hotel accross the lake. We're very excited about this new trip; the superb natural scenery, fun and varied singletrack riding and the fusion of Spanish and Indigenous cultures make Guatemala an excellent place to travel and ride mountain bikes.
Riders can add-on an overnight hiking ascent of Acatenango Volcano with views of erupting Volcan de Fuego. Epic!

MOUNTAIN BIKING IN NEPAL
Nepal is on most of our bucket lists and there's a reason why. It is home to eight of the world's ten highest mountains; the landscapes are diverse and the views staggering. It is the birthplace of Buddhism and boasts a rich cultural diversity and wonderful people. As a developing country Nepal can be a challenging place to travel in, we've worked diligently over the years to offer the very best Nepal mountain bike trip available. Our guides and support staff are the best; they are hand picked and professional. Our routes have been carefully chosen; we ride as much singletrack as possible and spend three full days on the Annapurna circuit. We avoid long slogs up dusty roads and instead shuttle you so that you can save your energy for the fun stuff. From the moment that you touch down in Kathmandu you'll be transported on an unforgettable mountain bike adventure, a true trip of a lifetime.

Mountain biking in Peru
It's been a decade since we ran our first trip to Peru, a destination that we regard to be one of the very best in the world. Peru has all the ingredients for a trip of a lifetime; amazing riding, fascinating culture, spectacular historical sights, excellent guides, great cuisine & accomodation. We start our adventure in Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire with its Spanish colonial architecture and impressive main square, the Plaza de Armas. After a few warm-up days on Cusco's best trails, we'll spend six days in the beautiful Rio Urubamba Valley, known as El Valle Sagrado (The Sacred Valley), home of remote traditional weaving villages, soaring mountains and some of the best trail riding in the world. Expect shuttle accessed singletrack enduro rides on ancient Inca trails in the Andes that reach Inca ruins that see few visitors, like the Huchuy Qosqo temple or the Moray archaeological site. Rides are mostly long descents, with some challenging climbs at altitude, some technical singletrack and fast singletrack and lots of everything in between; the riding in Peru is off the charts. We've included a once and a lifetime visit to Machu Picchu that's accessed by a scenic train and privately guided tour of the site. What more could you ask for in a mountain bike holiday?

SOUTH AFRICA & BOTSWANA
This trip has always been a favourite of ours. We offered a version of it from 2006-2009 and have since re-designed it to truly offer a "if i was to go to Southern Africa once in my life" trip, we think you'll love the new version! Touch down in Cape Town, South Africa and head to Stellenbosch, a leafy college town surrounded by world-class wine estates and a web of fun & flowy trails a pedal stroke away from our hotel. Next stop is the beautiful city of Cape Town with its clash of cultures, art & landscapes. We'll ride the city's headline act, Table Mountain, with sweeping views of city, seas and historic Robben Island. After a quick flight to Johannesburg we transfer to Bostwana for part two of this amazing adventure where you'll ride across the African savannah and see spectacular wildlife from our bikes including elephant, kudus, wildebeest, impalas, ostrich, giraffe, zebra and much more. We'll also enjoy three game drives with professional trackers to seek out the predators including lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas and more. In Botswana we'll spend three nights at rustic camps where the sounds of nature echo all around you and two nights at a spectacular Lux Tented Camp. If you're looking for a safari adventure that you'll never forget, this is it!
