Kids love their bikes and they love to ride them! Planning a family holiday can be very stressful, we know we have 2 littles of our own! Well the answer is easy, take the family on a family cycling holiday! With the kids in tow a family cycling holiday is a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with the whole family whilst enjoying the fresh air, beautiful scenery and picturesque white villages of Andalucia.

Each family has their own guide which allows you to ride at a pace that is suitable to your family without feeling any pressure to keep up or being kept waiting for other groups that are here riding. Obviously if two families are compatible to ride together then this is not a problem, however, in this instance there would be two guides riding thus maintaining our policy of one guide per family.

Teenagers to young riders on tag-a-longs and toddlers in baby seats this is not just a biking holiday, it’s an adventure that the family will enjoy together. We have a range of bikes to suit all families from Junior Scott Speedster, Junior Specialised Allez road bikes, Orbea mountain bikes and Specialised hybrid bikes plus our standard range of adult bikes for teenagers upwards. We can organise family road cycling, leisure cycling and mountain biking holidays

Even if you are an experienced rider, cycling with your family has its own rewards. The knowledge that your kids will be getting fit, interacting with nature, building their confidence and, most importantly having fun, it’s extremely satisfying. By taking your children on a cycling holiday you will be opening their eyes to what is possible on a bike and the enjoyment it can bring.

Andalucia has a well deserved reputation for having some of the world's best single track trails, technical down hills, free riding and cross-country mountain biking, combine this with the wonderful weather, over 300 days of sunshine, and you have the perfect location for all year round biking. From our mountain biking base in Montecorto, the Serrania de Ronda, Sierra de Nieves and Grazalema Natural Park are all on our doorstep offering you a wide and varied selection of routes from epic cross country trails, mile after mile of testing single track, tough climbs, fast flowing down hills as well as some more gentle rides.

The terrain is well suited to going off road for mountain biking. From blasting down hill and excellent free riding to varied and testing terrain, but more importantly, quality single-track that may leave you breathless and at times worn out, but, grinning from ear to ear at the end of the ride!

During the week, Ashley who is a MTB instructor, will show you a few simple techniques that will get you riding more confidently. The coaching that you will receive is built into your daily riding. Those riders who take advantage of this free training, most will leave their Andalucian cycling experience riding drops offs and switchbacks, that at the beginning of the week you would have considered to difficult.

We incorporate skills practices into your standard days mountain biking that develop braking technique, body positioning and balance on the bike. This often means that we will stop at sections of the trail that require a new level of skill for on-the-trail coaching. This informal training continues throughout your holiday, resulting in an improvement in your technical ability and, therefore, increasing your confidence.

When you combine the excellent riding and perfect climate that we have in Andalucia with the ease of flying to southern Spain you will discover that year round sunshine mountain biking is only a few hours away.

At the Andalucian Cycling Experience we are Passionate about Pedalling and equally as passionate about Andalucia, especially Ronda, the Sierra Nieves and the Grazalema Natural Park. Our leisure cycling holidays combine these passions into a holiday that will be filled with fond and lasting memories. We specialize in fully supported guided tours in our own very beautiful part of Andalucia with the emphasis on easy, gently paced, riding.

All you have to do is chill out and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, along with the excellent local cuisine, tapas and wines...and of course the cycling! There are plenty of opportunities to stop admire the views, soak up the sun and take some photos along the way. It's not a race, there's no prize at the end of the week for being the first one back.

From the moment we meet you at the airport to the minute we drop you off again we make sure that you will have a hassle free vacation.

During your leisure cycling holiday you will be visiting many of the beautiful white villages in the Grazalema Natural Park. By far the best way to explore rural Andalucia is on two wheels, you really get to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and smells of the countryside whilst riding. The pace is gentle and the rides are tailor made to suit your fitness level, you tell us how far you want to ride and we will provide you with a great days riding.

Our leisure cycling routes include riding through rolling farmland along quiet country lanes, through forests of Holm Oak, passing by olive groves and vineyards, stopping each day for lunch and refreshments at one of our favourite tapas bars or local restaurants. During the week we can also arrange guided tours around a local wine bodega which includes a wine tasting and lunch, a trip around the 'Museo de Queso' (Museum of Cheese) and we will visit a functional olive mill where they still press and produce exquisite local olive oil, we'll also have a taster too, hmmmm yummy!! The cost of the above tours are not included in your holiday.

When we're not riding you can visit the Cueva Pileta famous for it's pre-historic paintings and they will be a chance to swim in a fresh water lagoon too.Enjoy a healthy, active holiday that is good for your mind, body and soul, environmentally friendly and above everything else, great fun.

Classic road cycling holidays on quiet country roads, with many challenging ascents and fast flowing descents we ride through many beautiful white villages (pueblos blancos) that are steeped in history and cultural richness. Whether you are just looking to improve your fitness, your bike handling skills and/or get off to a flying start for the coming season Andalucia is a magnificent destination for your road cycling holiday, winter training camps and warmer weather winter cycling holidays. Always remember that we want you to get the most out of road cycling holiday with us so all routes can be extended, most routes can also be cut short too…..all you need to do is ask your guide! The only thing we can’t do is make the rides flatter!!!

We always tailor the rides to suit your ability and fitness level but at the same time we want you, the rider, to experience the best road cycling routes you have ever ridden. This usually means a bit of effort on the climb although this is more than made up for on the exhilarating descents that follow. Depending on your fitness and requirements we are able to customise your road cycling holiday to meet your requirements. Choose from routes varying in length from 50 – 180km that have anything from 1000-3500 metres of climbing.

This sporting tour through Andalucia is suitable for the avid cyclist, sportive riders and keen road bike riders. Expect to ride 50-100km per day on this point-to-point tour.

Fantastic road cycling in the heart of southern Spain, through beautiful white villages with picturesque and dramatic scenery. Riding on quiet country lanes your week long point-to-point sporting tour takes you on a journey of discovery through the Andalucian countryside by rivers, lakes, cork forests, olive groves, over mountain passes and to many beautiful white villages that are synonymous with Andalucia.

Your point-to-point sporting tour starts in Zahara a traditional white village 'Pueblo Blanco' which is topped by the ruins of a Moorish castle. The dramatic landscape surrounding Zahara makes for some great riding with breathtaking views, it seems, at every turn. Zahara is one of the 'must see' white villages in this area.

Next you ride onto one of the oldest and most beautiful cities of Spain, Ronda. Situated on an impressive plateau and surrounded by mountains Ronda is famous for its spectacular gorge 'El Tajo' the cliffs are spanned by a bridge, a popular place for travellers to admire the breathtaking views.

Finally you end your tour in Alora, a typical 'Pueblo Blanco' (White Village) which is topped by the ruins of a magnificent castle. Alora is the perfect setting to end your trip with the Ardales Lakes, the amazing El Chorro Gorge and the El Torcal Natural Park all within easy riding distance.

Amongst the many highlights of the trip are; the El Chorro Gorge, the Lakes at Ardales, El Torcal Natural Park, the beautiful Moorish castle at Zahara and last but by no means least the stunning Gorge, which splits Ronda in two.

We live and work here in Andalucia, we have 20 years experience organising fantastic cycling. This bike trip takes you through beautiful white villages with picturesque and dramatic scenery. Riding on a combination of country lanes and dirt tracks, your week’s cycling meanders through the Andalucian countryside by rivers, lakes, cork forests, the Via Verde and many beautiful white villages that are synonymous with Andalucia.

Your week long cycling tour takes you through the most scenic Andalucian white villages (“pueblos blancos”), visiting Benoajan, Montejaque, Grazalema, Zahara, Prado Del Rey, Olvera, Setenil de las Bodegas and of course Ronda. Ronda, Setenil & Olvera have recently been voted in the Top 25 most scenic villages in Spain, for me you could also include Zahara & Grazalema in that list as these are 2 of my personal favourites. This village to village adventure starts in Ronda , one of the oldest and most beautiful cities of Spain. Situated on an impressive plateau and surrounded by mountains Ronda is famous for its spectacular gorge ‘El Tajo’ the cliffs are spanned by a bridge, a popular place for travellers to admire the breathtaking views.

Please note that we would grade this route as an intermediate ride. There are a number of hills to climb on most days, all of which are doable but do require a bit of effort. To get the most out of this trip you should be use to riding/exercising on a regular basis.

It seems to have re-ignited our passion for riding for riding sake. Gravel bike riding gives us the feeling of freedom and adventure, riding without a definitive route plan and not being restricted to tarmac roads, we can now mix it up and discover places unreachable by road alone.

It will take you back to your teenage years where anything goes! Here in the Serrania de Ronda and Grazalema Natural Park we ride on a mix of roads, vehicle width gravel tracks, single track trails, through forests and grass meadows. Every gravel bike ride is an adventure, with each route offering a variety of terrain to refine your gravel bike riding technique and push the limits.

We have spent the last 14 years exploring this part of Spain, and have put together a weeks worth of outstanding gravel bike riding. The terrain is best described as dry and dusty, fast flowing with a fair few rocky sections and plenty of switchbacks thrown in. The trails we ride are empty, nothing is man-made, all as mother nature intended it to be!

We always try to tailor rides to suit ability and fitness levels but at the same time want you the rider to experience the best trails you have ever ridden. This usually means a bit of effort in the climb although this is more than rewarded for the awesome descents that follow.

The French Alps, are synonymous with the Tour de France, where the top riders from around the world battle it out to become the King of the Mountains but also usually where the GC contesters are put to the test in the toughest of rides . The Alpe d’Huez, Croix de Fer, Galibier, Glandon, Lautaret, Lacets, Telegraphe and La Berarde frequently feature in the Tour de France. Our road cycling holiday in the French Alps showcases these epic climbs perfectly. We stay in Bourg D’Oisans which is ideally located so you can tick off all of these epic climbs off your bucket list in one trip.

Hotel on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Hotel is situated in the heart of Bourg D’Oisans and has secure bike storage, wifi and Spa with Sauna and Jacuzzi.
