Beer along the Great Taste Trail
Calling Craft Beer lovers. Of course you have come to Nelson because it is the Craft Brewing Capital of NZ, right? So you won't want to miss NZ's only beer-lovers bike tour. With just 7 kilometres of cycling (all flat and mostly on a cycle trail) you will hardly get a sweat up. This is an urban route and it's all about the flavours and the friendly brewers here. The self-guided tour visits three breweries all based in Stoke, home of The Gentle Cycling Company. And if the other person in your life is less keen on beer than you are, there is a natural lemonade, fruit ciders and a delicious ginger beer on offer too. Sorry, not available on Sundays.

Wine along the Great Taste Trail
We'll spend time with you before you set out, so you can have a worry-free day. Visit a cheese shop, pick berries (in season) or stop for a real fruit icecream along the way. And McCashins Brewery Café makes a perfect spot to rest at the end of your ride (it's just across our back paddock) so we have included a drink and snack in your package. Some wineries are not open 7 days so we will help you plan before you start your ride and make bookings if required.
From 12 to 34 km (you choose). Flat. Includes some on-road cycling. First winery is 6km from our base (cycling time approximately 20 minutes).
