The Volta ao Algarve is the only Portuguese stage race on the UCI Pro Series circuit, with the race route exploring the Algarve in the south of Portugal.
The format of the race is similar each year, and includes a time trial, challenging mountains of the Serra de Monchique and Serra do Caldeirao ranges, and sprint stages. Some thing for everyone and the ideal all-round test for the professional cycling peloton.
The 52nd edition of the Volta ao Algarve Tour consists of 5 stages and will cover 745 kilometers and have an elevation gain of 11,795 meters.
Each year the Volta route includes quiet cycling roads we’ve been exploring for many years.
