A must for those that seek out an alternative ride through London
What other London tour includes visits to sights as diverse as the Tower of London, an exhilarating ride over the Tower Bridge, an exclusive Central London marina, the original site of Roman London, Britain's highest quality food market and London's curry capital - Brick Lane, where we take a refueling break to explore some breathtaking street art, grab a coffee or even a pint at a cornerstone of British culture - a classic East End boozer (a pub!).
Inevitably, the tour has its wacky stories to tell - such as the 'Leap of Faith' by a London Bus over Tower Bridge; The Polar Bear that could regularly be seen on the banks of the River Thames catching its own dinner; And the 'rude' stockbrokers, banished from the Royal Exchange and forced to trade from the local coffee shop. Cyclists even get the opportunity to learn a little of the native East End dialect, 'Cockney Rhyming Slang' - Cor Blimey Guvnor!
It's simply impossible to summarize the amazing Secret London Tour, combining medieval history, legend, scandal and modern glamour. Yet, one thing for certain is that everybody who joins us will leave with a picture of London that they could never have previously imagined.
London Gay Tours offers this bike tour to cycle along a route that follows river and canal-side pathways, cycle lanes, back streets and hidden passageways. This cycling tour is a must for those that seek out an alternative ride through London. We explore the majesty of the financial district, the ‘City of London’, the mystery of the old London Docks, along with the magical wizarding London of Harry Potter.

We Saddle up at our cycle hire centre at Gabriel's Wharf located on the South side of the river near Waterloo station. After choosing a bike, our guide will escort you along the riverside, down side roads and alley ways though central London. We'll stop along the way to admire the amazing engineering achievement of the London Eye, one of the largest observation wheels in the world, and then just under the bridge, the story of Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament, with plenty of time for photos. From the courtyard of Westminster School you can admire the belfry of Westminster Abbey, then over to St. James' Park. The reason for starting early is to meet up with the (not to be missed) pomp and pageantry associated with the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
Heading back to Central London, we walk though Trafalgar Square with Lord Nelson looking down from his pedestal, then Leicester Square, skirting Chinatown, followed by Covent Garden. Taking a break and watching some street theatre on offer in the market piazza we then get back on the bikes, and ride though London's legal district and over to the colourful Leather Lane Market and Smithfield Market, London's recently redeveloped meat market.. with some horrible history! Then over to Sir Christopher Wren's amazing St Paul's Cathedral. With the river in sight, we cross south on the famous Wobbly Bridge past the Tate Modern Art Gallery, and you will now feel that you have a real orientation of London.

Cycling casually alongside riverside pathways, cycle lanes and park routes, ensuring your complete safety at all times, the tour includes stops at highlights such as the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. We also go in search of the Prime Minister at Downing Street, the Spies at MI5 and the Horse Guards at Whitehall, along with visits to many other iconic locations such as Trafalgar Square and St Paul's Cathedral.
The tour also takes a refueling break at Covent Garden where you can watch some of the world renowned Street Entertainers or visit London's very best Muffin Shop. Yum! Yet, true to form we also reveal the unique, strange and amusing elements of this great city. How else would you ever find the world's smallest police station, the hotel that will pay for your funeral (!), or the house of the naked American Revolutionary!? We also pass through crooked cobbled streets, hidden courtyards and alleyways, whilst exploring the grounds of England's oldest library and most expensive Private school. You'll wonder if JK Rowling took her inspiration for Hogwarts from here!A tour like none other, and you probably won't need to take another during your visit to London.

Along the road we find Horse Guard's Parade, site of the 2012 Olympic Beach Volleyball Competition, St. James' Park, Clarence House to Buckingham Palace, The Queen's official London residence, then up Constitution Hill into the open space of Hyde Park.
