A loop around Matera following the traditional Granfondo route

You first will climb Montescaglioso (with its XII century Benedictine Abbey) then reach the medieval hamlet of Miglionico.

Here you can visit the magnificent Castello del Malconsiglio and the “Mother Church”.

Continue to Grottole and Grassano then back to Matera cycling along the San Giuliano lake, nature reserve and wildlife oasis.
