Shoreham Vermont Bike Tour

The area around Shoreham is perfect for cycling. It's famous for its tidy apple orchards, grand views of Lake Champlain, fields of grazing sheep and cows, and the classic beauty and simplicity of the surrounding towns and villages. Mountains form the backdrop to our rides with the Green Mountains to the east and the impressive skyline of the Adirondacks rising over the lake to the west, all of which makes for a wonderfully varied experience of rural Vermont. We cycle to the classic New England town of Middlebury and take a short side trip over a covered bridge to the University of Vermont's Morgan Horse Farm, visit Norton's Gallery and his world-renowned whimsical wood carvings, and ride through historic Orwell. Added to all this wonderful cycling is the warm hospitality of the historic Shoreham Inn. This former stagecoach stop has retained its fine country feel and essential 1790 Vermont character while adding modern comforts and amenities that make your stay here special.
