A unique ride along Tenerife's unofficial biking highway!
Our East Coast Tour is a great way to spend a Sunday. We transfer you in our bus all the way to the Guimar Valley where we'll get ready to take on the TF28-Tenerife's unofficial biking highway! You'll be in good company on the road as many local riders choose this road for their Sunday club ride-where it's possible to ride the length of the island!
We'll climb up to the famous Mirador hotel and pass through various historic towns and villages such as Fasnia and Arico, ride up, down and around the multiple ravines and marvel at the neighbouring island of Gran Canaria away to east. Whilst this tour is deceptively challenging, the climbing is not continuous unless you decide to take on the optional drop down and subsequent climb back up from El Poris- a former fishing village. The tour passes through our cycling café in San Miguel-located on the very same road-55 kilometres from the start point of the tour. After lunch, we spin the legs back down to Las Americas!

A great Saturday spin from the coast to the heart of the mountains!
It's the weekend and our Saturday tour takes in the best roads of the south of the island-from coast to mountain! We pass through the pretty fishing village of Los Abrigos before starting to climb on quiet roads above the south airport. We continue to bypass the main roads on pretty, traffic free roads gently making our way to Granadilla located at 600 metres.
Depending on your level, the guides might decide to take on some roads unknown-there are many here in Tenerife! After passing our cycling café in San Miguel for a quick coffee stop, we'll climb up to La Escalona before dropping down to La Camella and climbing back up to the perfectly located Mirador Centinella with its stunning views of the south of the island.e

A tour to Teide from the southern approach is the flagship tour of Club Activo. Whether you start from the café or ride on the intermediate level from Vilaflor, the roads, traffic, scenery and all-round experience is out of the world-a paradise for cyclists!
We ride on the TF21 from Granadilla to Vilaflor, which is probably the most stunning climb on the island, before we stop for supplies. After Vilaflor, the climbing continues through the Coronal Forest towards the majestic Teide. As we approach 2000 metres above sea level the air becomes a little thinner as the challenge becomes more intense. At Retamar we drop down in to the crater for a tour of the National Park and World Heritage site. We head towards the famous Parador Hotel, home of the pro teams when they're riding on the island, with its amazing views of the mountain.
After the climb back out of the crater we regroup before the big descent back via El Fronton to our start point for a delicious Canarian lunch that awaits us at base camp Club Activo! The tour concludes at the home of our good friends-Bike Point in Las Americas.

Ride the Lunar Landscape towards Spain's highest Mountain!
Our ride to Mount Teide has become an iconic 'must do' ride in the past few years and our approach from the west side is our most popular! You can start from Chio or Los Paleos-13 kilometres and 600 metres up the mountain. You'll enjoy spectacular views of the Teno mountain range and the neighbouring islands of La Gomera and La Palma as you ride ever closer to the great mountain!
The next stop is Boca Tauce where you have the chance to get up close to the majestic volcano that last erupted over 100 years ago! From here we'll ride some extra kilometres in to the crater to marvel at the mountain from a different perspective - it's a unique experience riding at over 2000 metres above sea level. As with all of our tours, our riders can go at their own speed whilst being looked after by our on-the-road guides and our vehicle support!
Following a climb back out of the carter, we'll regroup at Retamar and prepare for our 25 kilometre decent where a typical Canarian lunch awaits at our café in San Miguel where we can share our experiences of a truly special day! The tour ends with an optional downhill section to Las Americas where the tour concludes.

A tough cycling experience in a mystical land of mist and fauna!
La Gomera is the latest addition to our tour schedule - it's a special island and an amazing day out on the bike! It's important to remember that the riding is not easy and doesn't suit the budget of every rider due to the additional expense of the cost of the boat from Los Cristianos to San Sebastian.
However, if you do make it across, you will experience something truly unique. We climb out of the capital, San Sebastian, towards the World Heritage site that is the Garonjonay National Park. With its 450 variations of flora and year-round misty appearance, there is something very mystical about this cycling paradise. Coupled with the island's unique whistling language, La Gomera is special. This tour is a special for groups and on request only. Vamos a (let's go to) La Gomera!

A majectic tour in the heart of the Teno mountain range
A ride to Masca is a truly unique experience! You can choose to start at Chio or 7 kilometres north in the pretty town of Santiago del Teide. We climb through the spectacular Valle de Arriba before plunging down towards Garachico with its spectacular natural rock pools. We then head towards Buenavista del Norte from where we start our climb towards Masca!
Get ready for the deep ravines, tight hairpins and lush vegetation that is typical of the road all the way in to Masca. Riding in the heart of the Teno mountain range is an unforgettable experience as is the 380 metre, 3.5 kilometre climb out of Masca-if you manage to achieve it! If this section of the climb is not for you then we'll have the bus waiting for you in Masca. After lunch in Santiago del Teide, you'll have the chance to ride 32 kilometres all the way back to Las Americas to round off an amazing day!

Float above the clouds with incredible views of Puerto de la Cruz and Mount Teide
Teide from the east side is incredible! Whether you start from the village of Arafo, the top of the climb, or the start point in between, you will be challenged and rewarded with some of the best scenery our island has to offer. You will be afforded views of the capital, Santa Cruz, Tenerife's first tourist resort of Puerto de la Cruz as well as northern and eastern coastlines.
The stunning Mount Teide will suddenly appear through the clouds and then disappear for another few kilometres. Climb along the ridge, past the observatory, and then the mountain appears again-it is simply magical. At El Portillo we turn left towards the mountain passing the unique Ucanca desert and 'La Tarta' (the cake) with its coloured layers of volcanic ash.
We'll continue around the crater before climbing up and then back to our café through Vilaflor. We reserve this tour for groups and one-off specials as the weather is often unpredictable in this region. Nevertheless Teide East is an incredible day out on the bike!
Intermediate 82km (climbing 1580m) or Advanced 92km (climbing 2350m)
