Shalom!
Thanks to a very successful vaccination effort, Israel will soon open up to international visitors, and we have planned the trip you see described below with a realistic view of when it will be safe to travel in this amazing country.
Cycling in the Galilee, Golan, Sea of Galilee, Jerusalem and the Dead Sea areas will allow us to visit places where the Bible was written, taste great local food and wine, ride into ancient walled cities, and also expose ourselves to modern Israel and the colorful human mosaic that make this country special.
Cycling trips are all fully supported, including water, snacks and directions. Routes range from 20-35 miles and will start and end, when possible, at the hotel. We will have one van, that will serve for transport and for support along the ride. The guide is in the van- following or leading the group, depending on the section. On some days, there will be additional support staff. We have limited the number of hotels we stay at, allowing us to save the hassle of moving, and transferring by van, where needed. The plan is to have a morning ride and spend the afternoon touring in different locations. There will be several optional pre-breakfast rides and extensions for those interested.

Eilat to Petra
Cycling into Jordan and up to Petra is an epic ride, yet not an easy one. Petra and Eilat might seem close on Goolgle Maps, but keep in mind that you are crossing into another country and culture all together. Jordan is a peaceful country and being a Muslim country with economical challenges, it moves at a much slower pace than Israel. Also keep in mind that Petra is high in the mountains, hence can be cold in the winter and cool in the summer nights.
