We will travel by vehicle to the ancient town of Xizhou where we will spend some time exploring, and visit a traditional Bai house. We will experience a market where local people come to purchase and sell vegetables, fruit, flowers, and many other items used in their daily lives. The market is a kaleidoscope of colors and provides great photo opportunities. We will then be transported to a temple rarely visited by tourists, where our bicycle ride begins. As we ride toward and by beautiful blue Erhai Lake, we will cycle past temples, through villages, and past large fields of vegetables tended by villagers. After lunch at Wase, a fishing village, we continue biking to the Sky Mirror Pavilion. We then relax on a boat cruise to the other side of the lake as we return to Dali. You will see a China that has captured the imagination of poets and artists for centuries.
